Overview

General Release Information

We usually publish new Spartacus libraries every week. Each release may contain bug fixes, improvements, and new features.

When new features are available for release, normally we will publish a pre-release “next” version of the libraries with the new features, in order to get feedback. When the final, new, minor version is ready, we usually publish a release candidate (RC), with the final new x.y.0 a few days or weeks later.

Some of the links provided in the following lists point to SAP Commerce Telco and Utilities Accelerator documentation, to give an idea of what the feature is about. These links are for context only. While we strive for feature parity, the Spartacus implementation of features may not work exactly as in Accelerator.

Summary of Tentative Release Dates

Current release plans are (dates are tentative):

  • 5.0 Spartacus upgrade planned for Q3/Q4 2022 - dependency on Spartacus for Commerce Cloud
  • 5.x releases to follow end of 2022

5.0 Release

Technical Upgrade to Spartacus 5.0 for all TUA storefronts

Sample data improvements supporting all use case scenarios / improved documentation with talk-track to execute scenarios

With the extra time, the following features are also being considered for 5.0, or soon after in a 5.x release

  • Fixed Bundles: Provide the ability for a customer to purchase a fixed Bundled Product Offering
  • One-Click Order Placement: Provide the ability for a customer to make a One-Click Order Placement for a service
  • One-Click Activation: One-click activation of a service
  • One-Click Deactivation: One-click deactivation of a service
  • Top-Up Account: Top-up a prepaid account with additional minutes given a low-balance trigger
